  • Send service-related communications and, where permitted, marketing about our offerings.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

3. Legal Bases (EEA/UK Visitors)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Contract — to provide Services you have requested.
  • Legitimate interests — to operate our business, secure our Site, and market related services in a proportionate way.
  • Consent — for non-essential cookies and certain marketing communications (you may withdraw consent at any time).
  • Legal obligation — to comply with applicable laws (e.g., tax and accounting).

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with:

  • Service providers acting on our behalf (e.g., hosting, email, analytics, CRM, payment processing, accounting), bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
  • Professional advisors such as lawyers, auditors, and insurers.
  • Authorities when required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights, property, or safety.
  • Business transfers in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.

6. International Data Transfers

ZTG is based in the United States. If you access the Site or work with us from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the U.S. or other countries where our providers operate. Where required by law, we implement appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for cross-border transfers.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, to provide the Services, to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary by data type and applicable law. When no longer required, information is securely deleted or anonymized.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information — including access controls, encryption in transit, vendor due diligence, and least-privilege principles for project data. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal information, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of certain sharing. EEA/UK residents have rights under the GDPR/UK GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address in Section 15. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Site and Services are intended for business users and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can delete it.

11. Third-Party Links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites or services that operate independently of ZTG. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and we encourage you to review their policies before sharing any personal information.

12. Client Project Data

When ZTG processes personal data on behalf of a client in the course of providing Services (for example, end-user data within an application we are building), we act as a data processor or service provider, and our handling of that data is governed by the applicable client agreement or Data Processing Addendum. The client (as data controller) is responsible for the lawful basis, notices, and end-user rights related to that data.

13. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” signal. Because no consistent industry standard exists, our Site currently does not respond to such signals. We honor opt-out preferences as described in Sections 4 and 9.

14. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated through the Site or, where appropriate, by direct notice.
